About Keigo

A tool built for expats, by someone who understands the struggle.

Hey, I'm Imed. I've spent years traveling to Japan, and each trip made one thing clear: navigating daily life — from city hall paperwork to business emails — is incredibly hard when you don't master keigo.

I watched friends relocating to Japan struggle with things that should be simple: opening a bank account, writing to their landlord, filling out a residence form. The tools out there were either too academic or too generic. Nothing was built for the real, messy, day-one reality of being an expat.

So I built Keigo — the app I wish existed for everyone moving to Japan. Not a textbook. Not a translation tool. A real assistant that handles keigo, admin, visa, housing, and all the things nobody warns you about.

Keigo is a one-person company based in France, serving expats worldwide. Every feature comes from real problems reported by real people living in Japan. If a user tells me something is broken or missing, I fix it that week.

The goal is simple: make life in Japan less overwhelming. Whether you just landed and need a phone number, or you've been here for years and still dread writing formal emails — Keigo has your back.

This is not a side project — it's my full focus. I ship improvements every week and I read every single message you send. If something doesn't work or you have an idea, tell me.
